We will perform an initial assessment to see if we believe you have a viable SR & ED claim. This involves a short meeting, at he end of which we will give you our opinion. There is no charge for this consultation.

Should we believe you have a valid SR & ED claim and you engage our services, we will meet with the key individuals to discuss the scope of the work and gather the required information to write the technical report. Our goal is to minimize the impact on you and your staff, since we know the value they provide to your day to day operations. We will record our interviews (subject to your approval), which will minimize the need for a follow up interview in most cases. We will also assess and prepare the eligible expenditures associated with your SR & ED claim. After your claim has been submitted, the file will be reviewed by a CRA Financial and Technical Reviewer with expertise in your sector.

Sometimes, but not always there may be a site visit to review the claim with you and verify the contents. Our Financial and Technical Consultant will attend this review with you to assist in clarification and to defend the claim we have prepared. In nearly all instances this is a friendly meeting with all sides able to state their opinions and generally only lasts a few hours. In the majority of cases our claims are "accepted as filed" with little or no change to the original SR & ED claim submission.
